Abstract
Objective: To revise the autonomous learning scale that developed by Michigan State University for its applicability in Chinese, and to explore the relationship between self-efficacy and autonomous learning of medical undergraduates. Methods: The general self-efficacy scale and autonomous learning scale are used to measure the medical undergraduates. Results: (1) The scale revised of autonomic learning can be divided into two dimensions that cognitive strategy and motivated belief, the former contains two factors that organization strategy and rehearsal strategy, the later contains two factors that self-efficacy and values, (2) There is a difference in values factor score for medical undergraduates of different gender, There are significant differences in all dimensions for medical undergraduates from different regions, Under the test variable that one child or not, there are significant differences for medical undergraduates in all dimensions except for the values factor, There are differences for different school year medical undergraduates in scores of motivation beliefs, rehearsal strategies, self-efficacy and values, (3) There are significant correlations among self-efficacy and autonomous learning strategies along with its various dimensions and factors. Conclusion: Self-efficacy is associated with autonomous learning.
