The Study of Practical Teaching of Oral Health Education Named "Going-Out"

PURPOSE: To improve students´ ability of oral health education, and to consolidate the practical and theoretical course of oral health education. METHODS: "Going-out" teaching method was conducted during practical teaching of Oral Health Education in Stomatology of Weifang Medical University, and the results were assessed by field evaluation, after-class evaluation, final examination, and practice evaluation. RESULTS: The new teaching method could be accepted by students and mission object, which could upgrade undergraduates´ ability of oral health education and enhance their memory of theory teaching knowledge. Practice evaluation analysis showed that the experimental group´s test results were higher than the control group´s (P<;0.01). CONCLUSION: “Going-out” teaching method had achieved the desired results, which accorded with the trend of teaching reform.
