Abstract
This paper mainly studies the sliding mode control strategies for the speed regulation of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) system. A new nonsingular terminal sliding mode control (NTSMC) strategy is designed based on vector control theory, which is adopted in the speed loop. Meanwhile, a disturbance observer is proposed to reduce chattering. Through disturbance estimation for feed-forward compensation, one new composite NTSMC (CNTSMC) algorithm has been proposed to take a smaller value for the switching gain without large chattering. It is fully verified by comprehensive simulation and experiments as available in the full paper.
