  • Abstract
    This paper discusses the emerging GaAs foundry industry in Taiwan and describes a new, highly effective foundry model that enables Global Communication Technology Corporation (GCT) to quickly bring about a volume production capability in a Class 1 environment for advanced six-inch GaAs microelectronics within nine months after its cleanroom design started. Today GCT is ready to provide a one-stop foundry service for a wide range of the front-end components needed for the next generation communication systems
