Abstract
We have modified the vacuum exhaustion system in the permeation measurement device for Silicon-Carbide to reduce wraparound flows through sample holder. In the experiment, the pressure in the glass tube region decreases more than 20 times, and measured permeation flows also decreases about 1-order. The wraparound flow is estimated to decrease less than 1% of the permeation flows through SiC sample. It is evaluated that the deuterium permeation coefficient of SiC is about 100 times less than that of 316 stainless steel at 800 C.
