Abstract
This paper presents the theoretical and experimental analysis of the surface errors of the planar slot antenna by using three different kinds of error models. An periodic function is presented to characterize the surface deformation on the radiation array plane, and then the Gaussian function is introduced to simulated the deformation of radiating slots. The roughness on the inner surface of the radiating waveguide is modeled by the fractal function. Three kinds error models are constructed by means of the Monte Carlo method based on the measured data. Finally, a prototype of the missile-borneplanar slot antenna is constructed and tested to verify the accuracy and efficiency of the presented methods. Comparison between the proposed modeling methods and the measured data shows that the proposed model is effective, which can provide the theoretical foundation for the control of the antenna surface-working.
