  • Abstract
This paper mainly studied the different clothes structure for electromagnetic shielding effectiveness. We establish a basic method of testing the shielding effectiveness (SE) of electromagnetic protecting clothing according to three different clothing structure. Firstly, We put the human body model and the transmitting antenna in the anechoic chamber. In the condition of far field, we tested electric field intensity of three clothing in the chest and abdomen at different frequencies, and used the shielding effectiveness to evaluate the electromagnetic shielding performance of clothing. In order to verify the accuracy of the test program, we used the three-dimensional electromagnetic simulation software HFSS to simulate the testing process. We designed models of three different clothing structure to calculate the shielding effectiveness. Compare the results of experimental and simulation, the simulative results are basically identical with the actual measurement results. The study shows us, with the frequency increases, the shielding effectiveness of three clothing have different degrees of decline. Though the analysis of the impact of clothing of the different structures for the shielding effectiveness. It also showed us, with the increase of clothing´s layer, electromagnetic wave is repeatedly reflected, absorbed, it will improve the shielding effectiveness of clothing; The gap and the hole on the clothing will greatly reduce the shielding effectiveness of clothing, especially in the high-frequency area, clothing will not achieve basic protection.
