Abstract
Focused on bus station at upstream, this paper improves the bus blockage adjustment factor calculating model of Highway Capacity Manual 2010 to estimate the capacity of signalized intersection, in which three kinds of land-use of the bus loading lane considered. Furthermore, we deducted factors and its sensitivity analysis about the impact on the capacity due to the bus station. Finally, we conclude that distance between the bus station and intersection stop line, and the arrival rate of the bus loading lane are two important factors affecting the signalized intersection capacity. So to accommodate queue vehicles arrived during red time, distance between the bus station and intersection stop line should be long enough.
