  • Abstract
    A feature extraction algorithm for the ECG (electrocardiogram) diagnostic system is presented. Two fields of research are described. The first one leads to the string representation of the signal by an interchangeable use of two linear approximation methods. At the second stage the string is analyzed to extract the values of durations and amplitudes of the P and T waves and the QRS complex.
