Abstract
We describe a general model for permanent magnet synchronous motors in stationary frame. The model is based on linear magnetics and includes secondary effects caused by nonideal motor construction. Possible model transformations are introduced as well, producing various models suitable for different control and estimation tasks. Several applications that illustrate uses of different models are also presented.
