  • Abstract
    Based on linear matrix inequalities, we consider the μ synthesis for a general plant in time domain. In a state-space the LMI solvable criterion for the μ synthesis is proposed and proved when the scalar matrix D is constant. Then the design approach of the global optimal μ controller is obtained. It can be constructed via the solutions of three linear matrix inequalities. The design method given in this paper is rather conservative compared with the H synthesis.
