Abstract
This paper considers joint optimization of power and array weights for a set of interfering cochannel links, given the desired capacity for each link. All transmitters and receivers are assumed to have array antennas. An iterative method for determining the link parameters is given. In this method, the desired capacities for the interfering links are the control parameters. It is also shown that the iterative method does not maximize the network throughput. Reducing the number of independent data streams for each link may enhance the network performance.
