Abstract
The bifurcations of a power system model with a parameter and a single control input are studied. Based on the normal forms of control system, the equilibrium sets of a power system are classified. The quadratic invariants for control systems are found. Conditions for the linear or nonlinear controller design are given in terms of the invariants.
