  • Abstract
    This paper is concerned with TCSC control based on passivity-based control (PBC) approach, which is firstly introduced in brief. Then the model of multimachine system with TCSC is constructed. Furthermore by means of PBC, a nonlinear TCSC control strategy is presented which can enhance the transient stability and improve the dynamic performance for power system. In addition, the optimality of the proposed TCSC control law is verified by PBC theory.
