  • Abstract
We have presented the architecture of a reconfigurable transceiver based on digital IF for wideband code division multiple access (WCDMA) and IS-95 CDMA base stations. The presented transceiver has been designed to support multiple frequency allocations (FA) at multiple standards without modifications of hardware as in software defined radio (SDR) concepts. A bandpass sampling technique has been applied to the presented receiver to use an analog to digital converter with lower sampling rate. Also, the digital complex quadrature modulation technique that is able to reject image frequency components is used to apply the baseband adaptive predistorter in digital baseband processing in the presented transmitter. The simulation using a simplified channel structure has been performed to certify the presented transceiver architecture structure by back-to-back connection of the transmitter and receiver.
