  • Abstract
In this study we propose a new spatiotemporal regularization algorithm for the inverse problem of electrocardiography. According to the bidomain theory the transmembrane potential is considered the primary source. Spatial and temporal constraints on this source are formulated with linear operators leading to a large-scale constrained quadratic optimization problem which is solved by an interior-point optimizer. The temporal constraint is formulated as a side-constraint and, consequently, no additional temporal regularization parameter is needed. The method would be capable of reconstructing ischemic and infarcted regions.
