Abstract
This study was performed to extract the meaningful parameters from EMG signals, which could be used as biofeedback parameters for the rehabilitation treatment. Five male and five female subjects were participated in the experiment, and the EMGs with and without electrical stimulation were acquired for analysis. Zero-crossings, turns/second, and median frequency were extracted and analyzed to evaluate the effectiveness of pre and post electrical stimulation. Results showed the significant differences in muscle strengths and muscle fatigues between pre and post electrical stimulation. It was concluded that the parameters extracted could be used for the development of intelligent EMG biofeedback system.
