Abstract
This paper presents and compares some methods of high resolution estimation of the spectral matrix for multiple 2-D random processes. The paper discusses methods based on autoregressive modeling of the multichannel 2-D data. A method that allows computation of the quadrant model parameters directly from the data without prior estimation of the correlation function is also described. Spectra based on nonsymmetric half-plane support are then compared to those computed using a combination of estimates from models with quadrant support.
