Abstract
The paper is devoted to showing the possibilities for optimally steering a first order difference beamformer (FODB) using a time-domain technique based on the minimization of the error output on the angular range of interest. This structure may be used in source separation, speaker tracking, or speech enhancement with application in robust speech recognition, demotic control, or video-conferencing, among other fields.
