Abstract
This paper introduced the geographic information system (GIS) techniques, especially how to integrate Web and GIS technology to browse and analyze spatial information. First, three kinds of resolving plane for WebGIS in Internet were analyzed, and their advantages and disadvantages discussed. Secondly, a prototype of a GIS application, which was based on the hybrid strategy using Windows DNA architecture, for dispatch of distribution network control was described. The system´s design was presented in detail. The testing result was shown and conclusions were based on it.
