  • Abstract
    This paper deals with the problem of robustly stabilizing a linear time-invariant plant in the presence of uncertain time delay. We define the delay margin to be the largest time delay such that, for any delay less than this value, the closed-loop system is stable. We show that the delay margin can be made arbitrarily large by using a linear time-varying controller.
