Abstract
In this contribution we discuss the connection between periodic stability and absolute stability of switched linear systems. We consider the conjecture that periodic stability implies absolute stability (PSAS) and discuss it from a practical perspective. We present detailed observations about a class of systems that provide a counter example for PSAS and make suggestions for exploring the nature of these counter examples.
