Abstract
A technique for modeling weakly non-linear time-varying circuits with memory, such as signal modulators or mixers, is presented. The simulation of this kind of circuits can be very expensive in computational resources and simulation time, because of the complexity of the circuit and the very different time-scales involved in the circuit operation. From the circuit description, a low-pass equivalent reduced model is proposed, providing accurate simulation results with significant reduction on simulation time. The model captures the memory and the input-output weakly non-linear behavior of the circuit and is able to work both in time and frequency domain.
