  • Abstract
    We propose a novel 1.3/1.55 μm dual-band 3-dB coupler on the InP material system. A partial index-modulation region is placed inside a multimode interference structure to shorten the device length. The coupling characteristics have good tolerance on the device length and wavelength variation.
