  • Abstract
The gravitational method consists in modeling assembly neuronal activity as if they were particles placed in a n-dimensional plane, according to a function of charge and the activity of the corresponding neuron. The particles get charged and are attracted by those that are also charged at the same time, this allows to detect simultaneously the existing connectivity. The rates of firing activity in several areas of the brain range form 5 to 6 up to 120 spikes per second in extreme cases. Taking this into account a neuronal circuit has been simulated for two cases. One in which the average firing rate is between 5 and 11, and other where the firing rate is between 30 and 115 spikes per second. To achieve a reasonable detection of connectivity the parameters involved and the charge functions must be selected accordingly to the different firing rates. This paper shows the results of such exercise.
