Abstract
In this paper, a minimum variance (MV) receiver is proposed for multicarrier CDMA systems with space-time coding. The goal of the MV receiver is to provide unit gain to the desired user, while minimizing the total receiver output power. It has been shown that the proposed MV receiver is able to suppress interference from other users in the system. With transmit diversity provided by the ST coding, the STC-MC-CDMA system performs significantly better than systems without such diversity schemes.
