The cervical smear is easy and convenient method to screen the cervical carcinoma. The image processing techniques are implemented to characterize the features of cervical cells. The new computer-aided analysis system proposed in the paper is expected to deal with the increasing quantity of cervical smears and share the exhausted duty and reduce the misdiagnosis of manual screening.
