Abstract
A reuse approach to the design of switched-capacitor (SC) filtering applications is presented. The proposed method utilizes a non-uniform sampling scheme, which adds one degree of freedom in determining the frequency response parameters of SC circuits. In addition, capacitors spread and total capacitor area is reduced, and only a minor complexity increase is needed to generate the operating clock phase. As a result, fully functional designs can be obtained for analog-module reuse scenarios. The feasibility of the presented approach has been validated through the design and the experimental evaluation of a high-Q SC bandpass filter for radio data system application.
