Abstract
Summary form only given. Although legacy applications often need attention, it is also the case that "legacy" anything has acquired a bad reputation that (in some cases at least) needs restoration. In this paper the author look at various strategies for large organisations with massive investments in legacy software, processes and systems (in the large), to move forward without necessarily throwing out the baby with the bathwater.
