Abstract
Technological innovation is more and more becoming the necessary pre-requisite in achieving a competitive and/or predominant market position, but its process of evolution is marked by significant uncertainty and problems. Especially in the industrial implementation of innovative technological processes (scale-up), it is essential from the outset to have a methodology through which it is possible to identify and evaluate those process aspects showing greater uncertainty and, therefore, greater technological risk. In this way, appropriate corrective actions can be found. The paper proposes a methodology for the scale-up risk analysis of an innovative technological process. The methodology is applied to a new process for the production of electrolytic copper from copper concentrate.
