Abstract
Nowadays, lightweight alloys are always more utilized in transport industries; nevertheless the utilization of such materials still presents several shortcoming for instance in the joining techniques. In the paper a few technological alternatives in the joining of aluminum sheet metal blanks were taken into account. In particular several aspects regarding both technical and economic issues were considered, as the joint resistance, its ductility, the processing times, the setup ones and the fixtures complexity.
