Abstract
In this paper, power control characteristic of a variable speed constant frequency doubly fed wind power generator is analyzed based on field oriented vector control. The analytical equations of power factor, power angle, active and reactive power are established, and the influence of the machine and control parameters on the power control characteristic is discussed. The simulation results show that the output power can be controlled by adjusting the frequency, amplitude, phase angle and phase sequence of the rotor winding currents of the doubly fed generator.
