Abstract
We obtain a uniform electric energy distribution in the tumor tissue using the coaxial applicator arrays for microwave hyperthermia of bone tumor. The electric energy distributions of the single applicator with different size and applicator arrays with different exciting phase were simulated based on the finite difference time domain (FDTD) method. The simulation results show that a relatively uniform energy distribution in the tumor tissue can be achieved by adjusting the exciting phase of the applicator.
