  • Abstract
    In order to overcome the shortcomings of the hybrid excitation permanent magnet synchronous generator (HEPMSG) in existence, an improved structure of the HEPMSG is presented to reduce voltage regulation and improve power density in this paper. The structure and design method are studied in details. A prototype with rated output power 7.5 kW, rated output voltage 400 V has been designed and made. The measured data shows that design method is reliable as well as practical and effective.
