Abstract
In orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems, an error in the receiver demodulation frequency causes large errors in the detected signal values, which increases the probability of bit errors. Therefore it is important to minimize this offset. In this paper, we propose an interpolation-based high-precision frequency acquisition method for OFDM systems. Its precision is shown to be higher than that of existing methods and it is applicable for acquisition purposes as only one OFDM training symbol block is required and it has no inherent limit for the carrier frequency offset acquisition range, and it is independent of a carrier phase offset that may occur
