Abstract
When developing for the web application and other platforms: expect X86 based, can developers learn from and avoid the mistakes made by developers stretching back previous computing era? Developers used different technology, different languages and produced different user interfaces from today´s developers. Since year 2002, Department Of communication systems (DCS) in Lancaster University, UK has evaluated many distributed services project within the fields of e-learning, e-business and e-management. Those projects involved application design between various mobile devices: WinCE, Palm OS, Symbian and UIQ. DCS recognized that mobile service content developers may make the mistake again. This paper will address the problem from technical design and usability perspectives and concludes that these factors can be integrated through practiced solutions by evaluating ethos of design, resulting in a scenario that encompasses the needs of users
