Abstract
This paper proposes a novel scheme of joint transmit antenna and subcarrier selection in MIMO-OFDM systems. The selection criterion is based on both the minimum condition number and maximum Frobenius norm of channel submatrix under the assumption that the transmitter has full knowledge of the channel state information (CSI). To further reduce the computational complexity, we also present a simplified selection algorithm which yields a remarkable complexity reduction. Simulation results show that simplified algorithm achieves almost the same performance as the original one
