  • Abstract
Getting involved in technical research can help students decide which track they want their career to take. It can also give them the experience and skills needed to pursue their desired careers. Working on research projects not only helps individuals become deeply knowledgeable about a specific problem, but it also helps them gain exposure to new tools and ways of thinking. Students who participate in research also develop their technical skills with respect to using tools, creating experiments, analyzing results, and improving their work. All of these skills make students attractive to prospective graduate schools, research advisers, and employers.
