  • Abstract
    To realize the high performance drive for vector controlled interior permanent magnet synchronous motors (IPMSMs), the exact motor parameters are required. However, motor parameters vary with driving conditions. In this paper, parameter variation effect is quantitatively presented for maximum efficiency control and flux-weakening control. Then, an on-line parameter identification method is presented. This method can identify all electrical parameters for IPMSMs. The maximum efficiency control and flux-weakening control systems using identified motor parameters are designed, and computer simulations verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
