Abstract
Numerical analysis of the effects of nonmagnetic shielding elements is nowadays usually performed by the finite element techniques. Their application may, however, become problematic when these elements are thin (sheets or tubes) or geometrically incommensurable with other parts of the system. In case that the problem is linear, the integrodifferential approach can represent a good and reliable alternative. The paper presents the relevant continuous mathematical model, discusses its discretization and algorithms of its solution. The theoretical considerations are illustrated on several examples.
