Abstract
With the development of electric power market, the centralized legacy energy management system (EMS) is hardly adaptive to the polytrope of market environment. Firstly the definitions of agent as well as multi-agent system (MAS) are analyzed. Then based on the knowledge of ontology and considered IEC 61970 common information model (CIM) as the data ontology of EMS region, the structure of ontology for EMS is established. And concerned with the function and application of EMS, a new and open type of EMS-oriented multi-agent architecture is presented. Lastly simple object access protocol (SOAP), one of the prevalent Web service technologies, is adopted to transmit data among agents, and the multi-agent communication mechanism is designed. This architecture can meet the ever-increasing requirements of reliability and interoperability for EMS of new generation, and be suitable for the trend of information interaction in power system via Internet.
