  • Abstract
The database is the basis of environment management information system, with the spatial data and associated attribute data increasing continually, the realization of the attribute database updated dynamically is taken as the core issue and must be resolved urgently. Adopting the component object model of geographic information system(GIS), such as Map Objects, using the database connection technology, the function has been come true to add environmental information data promptly to the relational database on VB platform. Taking map rendering methods, visualization of information data can be realized by generating thematic maps, and the integration among spatial database, attribute databases and relational database has been fulfilled in order to avoid a large number of environmental information data entered the attribute database and result in data redundancy.
