An Innovative Model of Mobile Education Application - The Research and Implement of "Palmtop Learning Mate"

Along with the gradual popularity of various palmtop calculation devices, mobile education gains universal attention. According to the relationship between device and network, we classify mobile education into three categories: permanently online, frequently online and offline. Considering the current condition of network environment in primary and secondary school, as well as the general requirement of parents, this article presents "palmtop learning mate", an application of frequently online education, and describes the implement of its software platform, which based on Microsoft.Net platform, providing functions including data synchronization, resource browsing, homework, blog, and behavior analysis. The article also points out that it is necessity to add mobile education oriented Web services into mainstream education platforms to make "palmtop learning mate" popular.
