  • Abstract
    In the paper, the product gears recited are master gears which are commonly used for calibrating measuring apparatus for gears and whose accuracy grade are up to 2. It is very difficult to measure master gears with ordinary methods, so study about gears with high precision is restricted badly. Authors developed a special measuring apparatus of pitch deviations for such gears, with which the single pitch deviation, cumulative pitch deviation and total pitch deviation of high precision gears can be well inspected. In this paper, the details about them and some methods are discussed. Data acquisition and data processing are made by computer added technology, and measuring accuracy is analyzed. To improve accuracy, some deviations which have effect on the result and accuracy of measure are reduced by a special method, and compensation method is used. With the measurement of gears of modulus 2 to 2.5 and accuracy grade 2, the result is satisfactory, and the measuring efficiency is improved too. So the conclusion is that the pitch deviations of high precision of gear can be inspected by means of this developed instrument and special technology, and the measuring accuracy grade can reach 2 or 1.
