  • Abstract
    This paper establishes model of cutting force in high-speed dry gear hobbing based on hobbing machining principle and metal cutting theory, derives out the calculation method of cutting force on the condition of high-speed dry gear hobbing. On the basis of the model, we emulation analyzes the cutting force in high-speed dry gear hobbing using digital artificial technology, analyzes the influence relationship and changing rule of main cutting parameters and cutting force in the process of high-speed dry gear hobbing, and compares the results with the simplified experiment of high-speed dry gear milling by flying cutter, thus verifies the exactness of the model. By the model of cutting force in high-speed dry gear hobbing established in this paper and the simulation research of it, it reflects the changing rule of cutting force in the cutting process, establishes theory analysis and experiment research foundation for further studying on cutting force and vibration of high-speed dry gear hobbing and exploring the cutting mechanism of it.
