Research on the asp platform for networked manufacturing in textile region

Networked manufacturing is an advanced manufacturing paradigm. Application Service Provider (ASP) platform is a solution for the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to establish and implement networked manufacturing. The demands of the enterprises for the ASP services were proposed according to the analysis of information system application in the textile industry. The architecture of the ASP platform for networked manufacturing in textile region was introduced, which consisted of portal layer, specific service layer, standard service layer, platform management layer and basic layer. Then several key technologies for the realization of the ASP platform, including data integration, application service integration and component-based service development technology were discussed in detail. And an application example of the ASP platform was presented. Application outcomes indicated that this platform could enhance the collaboration between enterprises and the core competitive ability of the textile region.
