  • Abstract
    Surface roughness prediction model of brittle materials turning by regression analysis method has been studied in this paper. By the prediction model the influence of cutting speed, rate of feed and depth of cut on surface roughness in brittle material turning process was investigated. The model shows the significant factors influence surface roughness by the orders of feedrate, depth of cut and cutting speed. The surface roughness prediction results have been generated from prediction model equations which have been proved effective.
