  • Abstract
    This paper gives an advanced control system in tilting-ladle-type automatic pouring system. In a pouring process, it has been required that molten metal is filled precisely and quickly into the mould for improving the productivity and saving energy. Therefore, the sequence control with prediction of filling weight is proposed in this paper. In the proposed control system, the sequence parameter is varied depending on the prediction of filling weight. The proposed control system has the advantage which it can be performed by common control equipment such as a programmable logical controller. The effectiveness of the proposed filling weight control system is demonstrated through the experiments using water to generalize the design procedure of filling weight control.
