Abstract
Speckle noise reduction techniques are very important for the enhancement and preprocessing of SAR and many medical images. We present a fast and efficient algorithm, based on fractal convolutions, to reduce speckle noise in real SAR images. The results of this approach are compared with other classical noise reduction techniques.
