Abstract
Allocation of processing gain for packet data is considered in cellular CDMA. Space diversity provided by antenna array is considered in presence of soft handoff. Throughput and delay analyses of packet data services using variable spreading gain (VSG) CDMA have been carried out in such scenario. The combined effects of soft handoff and space diversity are investigated on optimum allocation of processing gain.
